Our Story
Named for a chairlift. Built for a family.
Bluebird Cottage takes its name from the Bluebird Express at Mount Snow, the lift that carries our family up the mountain every winter. The three bluebirds in our logo are our three boys.
This is a real family cabin, not a managed property in a portfolio. We stay here, ski from here, and our boys grew up splashing around in the brook out back. When you book, you are dealing directly with us, and we want your crew to love this place the way ours does.

Built For Ski Trips
Boots dry, kids fed, everyone back on the lift by 9.
Minutes to both Stratton and Mount Snow, with a boot dryer waiting by the door, a washer and dryer (soap included), and a full kitchen so you are not fighting for a base lodge table.
Back at the cottage: a stone fireplace for the grownups, an Xbox and Roku TV in the family room for the kids, and a game table for when the whole crew is done for the day.

Evenings Here
Firepit on. String lights up. Nobody checks a phone.
The back deck is where the day winds down: grill dinner, gather around the fire table, and let the kids count stars while the woods go quiet. Quiet hours start at 10 PM, and honestly, by then the mountain air has done its job.
Plan your stayA True Four-Season Cabin
Come for ski season. Come back for everything else.
Route 100 is one of the prettiest roads in New England, and it changes completely four times a year.
Ski Stratton and Mount Snow
Two mountains within an easy drive, then home to the fireplace. Snow angels in the yard are strongly encouraged.
Green mountains and brook days
Wildflowers, hiking, and long evenings on the deck. Little kids love splashing around in the brook out back.
Foliage from the front porch
Peak Vermont color, right out the windows. Leaf-peeping on Route 100 does not get more convenient than this.
